FAQ

Pricing FAQ

What happens if I go over my monthly limit?

On Starter, Professional, or Marketer you can buy pay-as-you-go top-ups at $0.50 per 1,000 emails to raise your monthly cap for the rest of the billing period. On Hobby, upgrade to a paid plan instead. Your daily send limit stays fixed regardless of plan or top-ups — it's a deliverability guardrail, not something for sale.

Can I use my own Amazon SES or SendGrid account on the free Hobby plan?

Yes. Every plan, including Hobby, can connect any of the seven supported sender types. Paid plans raise how many senders you can pool and how many automations you can run — not which providers you can use. On Hobby (one sender), connecting a new sender replaces the existing one.

What's the "Sent via Emerge" footer on the free plan?

A small branding line appended to campaigns and automations sent from a Hobby workspace. It's removed automatically the moment you're on a paid plan.

What does "event history" mean?

How long per-recipient detail — who opened, who clicked, each send-API message — is kept. After that window, each campaign's totals and rates are kept permanently; only the per-recipient rows are cleared. Your contacts and their subscription status are never removed.

Why does a new Hobby workspace start with a lower daily limit?

New free workspaces warm up over their first two weeks — 50 emails a day, then 100, then 200, then the full 300. It keeps throwaway signups from blasting a list on day one, which protects deliverability for everyone. Paid plans skip the warm-up.

Can Emerge pause my sending?

Only to protect your reputation: if more than 5% of recent emails hard-bounce or more than 0.3% are reported as spam, sending pauses automatically. Nothing is lost — queued emails wait, and you resume from your dashboard once you've checked your list.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. The Hobby plan is free with no card required. You only enter billing details when you upgrade.
