Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-23
This policy explains how cancelling, changing plans, and refunds work for paid Emerge plans. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. What this covers
It covers payments for the Emerge platform at app.emerge-email.com: the Starter, Professional, and Marketer subscriptions, and pay-as-you-go email top-ups. The Hobby plan is free and never charged.
Emerge: Mail Merge for Google Sheets and the Emerge WordPress plugins are free. Their paid features come from connecting an Emerge account and use that account's plan, so this same policy applies.
Enterprise plans are governed by their own agreement where it says something different.
2. How billing works
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- You're charged in the currency shown at checkout.
- Payments are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. We never see or store your full card details.
3. Changing plans
You can upgrade or downgrade between paid plans at any time from Account → Plan in the dashboard. The change takes effect immediately, using the payment method already on file.
Any price difference for the rest of the current period is prorated by Razorpay and shows on your invoice. Moving to a cheaper plan does not produce a cash refund.
4. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from Account → Plan by choosing Downgrade to Hobby. There's no notice period or cancellation fee.
- You keep what you've paid for. Your paid plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, and you won't be charged again.
- Then you move to Hobby. When the period ends, your workspace switches to the free Hobby plan and its limits apply.
- Your data stays. Your contacts, templates, and campaign history remain in your workspace.
- Not yet billing. If your subscription hasn't started billing yet, or its payment is still failing, cancelling takes effect straight away.
To delete your account and its data entirely, email us at the address below.
5. Refunds
7-day refund on your first payment. If Emerge isn't right for you, ask for a refund within 7 days of the first payment for a paid plan and we'll refund that payment in full. This applies to monthly and yearly plans alike, once per customer. When we issue it, your subscription ends and your workspace moves to Hobby straight away.
Apart from that, payments are non-refundable:
- renewal payments;
- payments for plan changes; and
- any unused part of a billing period after you cancel. Because cancelling keeps your plan until the period ends, you aren't paying for time you don't get.
Billing mistakes are always refunded. If you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, or charged an amount you didn't agree to, we'll refund the incorrect amount in full, whenever it's reported.
Terms violations. We don't refund payments for an account that we suspend or close for violating our Terms of Service, for example for sending spam.
6. Pay-as-you-go top-ups
On Starter, Professional, and Marketer you can buy additional email credits at $0.50 per 1,000 emails. Top-ups are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. They raise your monthly limit for the calendar month you buy them in, and any unused credits expire when that month ends.
Top-ups are non-refundable once they've been added to your account. If you paid but the credits never appeared, contact us and we'll either add them or refund the payment.
7. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Razorpay retries it automatically. While it's being retried your plan stays active. If the payment still can't be collected, we may end the subscription and move your workspace to Hobby. You can choose a paid plan again at any time.
8. How to request a refund
Email support@redigit.net from the email address you use to sign in to Emerge. Include the payment ID or the date and amount of the charge.
We reply within 3 business days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Razorpay. Your bank or card issuer usually takes 5–7 business days to show them, sometimes longer.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. A change applies to payments made after it's published, never to a payment you've already made.
