Send with Zoho ZeptoMail from Emerge
ZeptoMail is Zoho's transactional email service, priced per email and widely used in India. Connect it to Emerge for your site, app and WordPress email — password resets, receipts, notifications — through your own ZeptoMail account.
Why use Zoho ZeptoMail with Emerge
- Transactional email from WordPress sites and apps
- Pay-as-you-go pricing without a monthly plan
- Teams already on Zoho
- Your domain and reputation stay yours — Emerge adds contacts, templates, campaigns, automations, tracking and bounce handling on top
1. Get your Zoho ZeptoMail credentials
- 1
Open your Mail Agent
In ZeptoMail open Mail Agents and pick (or create) the agent Emerge should send through.
- 2
Copy the Send Mail token
Open the agent's SMTP/API tab → API and copy the Send Mail token. Paste it with or without its "Zoho-enczapikey" prefix.
- 3
Note your data center
The address you sign in to ZeptoMail at shows it — zeptomail.zoho.in is India, zeptomail.zoho.eu is the EU.
2. Authenticate your sending domain
SPF, DKIM and DMARC are what let inboxes trust your mail — without them it’s far more likely to land in spam.
- 1
Verify your domain
Add your domain in ZeptoMail and publish the DKIM (TXT) and bounce (CNAME) records it shows. ZeptoMail only sends from verified domains.
3. Connect Zoho ZeptoMail in Emerge
In Emerge, open Senders, click the provider's button and fill in the form. Emerge checks the credentials with the provider before saving anything, and stores them encrypted.
- Send Mail token
- Mail Agent → SMTP/API → API.
- Data center
- Where your ZeptoMail account lives — US, EU, India, Australia, Japan, Canada or Saudi Arabia.
- From email
- An address on a domain verified in this Mail Agent.
Then send yourself a test email from the sender’s row. You can add more senders to the same pool — Emerge rotates between them and moves on if one fails or hits its limit.
4. Report bounces and complaints back
In ZeptoMail open the Mail Agent → Webhooks → Add webhook, paste the URL from Emerge's Senders page → Bounce reporting → ZeptoMail, and select the hard bounce, soft bounce and feedback loop (complaint) events.
Once bounces come back, Emerge stops sending to those addresses, and pauses a campaign whose bounce or complaint rate gets too high.
Good to know
- ZeptoMail is for transactional email only — Zoho doesn't allow marketing campaigns on it. Pair it with another sender for campaigns.
- Emerge checks your token when you connect without sending anything.
